What do you get if you fill a room with people from the innovation ecosystem that may or may not have anything else in common? The answer is “a kickass conference”!
What do you get if you fill a room with people from the innovation ecosystem that may or may not have anything else in common? The answer is “a kickass conference”!
Last week on the 9th of June, we held the first workshop session with the newly established Advisory Program Committee. The topics discussed revolved around purpose, ecosystem needs and potential formats for the Trondheim Tech Port’s 2023 conference. It was exciting to see how all the different ecosystem actors were represented and engaged in the process. We indeed received valuable insights and input to make our conference better. The next workshop will be held in August.
The Advisory Program Committee is an organ that will help ensure that Trondheim Tech Port Conference is headed and working in the right direction. Its mandate is to ensure that the conference is: strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Trondheim and Trøndelag; relevant and valuable for the different innovation actors and stakeholders; making Trondheim and Trøndelag attractive to an international audience. The committee’s tasks include sharing different perspectives and coming up with suggestions for the conference’s program.
The committee is an extremely valuable tool for us because it allows us to involve more ecosystem actors – beyond the ‘usual suspects’ – in an organic and structured way. Moreover, it helps in creating a sense of community, understanding and ownership towards the conference. On the other hand, it benefits its members as well by facilitating for them the creation of new networks and connections within the ecosystem.
“Since the conference’s goal is to gather the whole innovation ecosystem, the committee is constituted of representatives from each corner of the latter.”
Since the conference’s goal is to gather the whole innovation ecosystem, the committee is constituted of representatives from each corner of the latter, including: academia and research institutions, students, startups and scaleups, SMEs, clusters, corporates, investors, TTOs, ecosystem facilitators (accelerators, incubators), public administrations.
Finally, we would like to thank Sparebank 1 SMN for hosting and feeding us.
